11- year old Indian origin girl surpasses Einstein

If someone is asked who’s the most intelligent person to have existed on the earth, then quickly, Albert Einstein and Steven Hawking cross our mind. But, meet the young student Kashmea Wahi, who has joined the league of top 1 per cent of the world’s smartest.

Albert EinsteinThis 11-year-old Indian-origin girl in the UK has achieved the top possible score of 162 on a IQ test of Mensa, becoming one of the youngest and brainiest students in the country. Mumbai-born Kashmea Wahi achieved the top score of 162 out of 162. Both Hawking and Albert Einstein are thought to have an IQ of 160. Kashmea, the daughter of IT management consultants Vikas and Pooja Wahi, who work at the Deutsche Bank in London, took the test to prove a point to her parents.

“It’s overwhelming to be compared with the likes of Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein; the comparison is implausible and I believe it would take loads of achievements for anyone like myself to be able to get into the league of such legends. Anyway, I am buzzing with excitement,” Kashmea said.

The Cattell III B Mensa test is a well-known international evaluation process and Kashmea stumbled upon it while browsing on her iPad. Cattell III B has 150 questions, often assessing comprehension through passages of texts, with the maximum achievable score being 161 for adults, and 162 for under-18s. The high achiever at school felt it would be a good way to convince her parents to get off her case for not being buried in her books for long hours.

“We are ecstatic at Kashmea’s Mensa achievement. Although we always believed she had the intellectual prowess, the acknowledgement is reassuring that she does possess the ability, the energy, which if well channelised, can lead to something wonderful,” her parents said.

The student of Notting Hill and Ealing Junior School, in west London, was instrumental in her school team making it to third place in the Oxford Maths challenge last year. She also loves net ball, plays competitive lawn tennis and has competed in national level chess tournaments going on to win medals and trophies. “I can confirm that Kashmea is one of the youngest to achieve 162 in the supervised test as it can only be taken by people over the age of 10 and a half,” a Mensa spokesperson confirmed.

Animals are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Animalia (also called Metazoa). All animals are motile, meaning they can move spontaneously and independently, at some point in their lives. Their body plan eventually becomes fixed as they develop, although some undergo a process of metamorphosis later on in their lives. All animals are heterotrophs: they must ingest other organisms or their products for sustenance.

  1. TIGER: The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest cat species, reaching a total body length of up to 3.38 m (11.1 ft) over curves and exceptionally weighing up to 388.7 kg (857 lb) in the wild. Its most recognisable feature is a pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside. The species is classified in the genus Panthera with the lion, leopard, jaguar and snow leopard. Tigers are apex predators, primarily preying on ungulates such as deer and bovids. They are territorial and generally solitary but social animals, often requiring large contiguous areas of habitat that support their prey requirements. This, coupled with the fact that they are indigenous to some of the more densely populated places on Earth, has caused significant conflicts with humans.Tiger
  2. ELEPHANT:Elephants are large mammals of the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea. Two species are traditionally recognised, the African elephant (Loxodonta africana) and the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus), although some evidence suggests that African bush elephants and African forest elephants are separate species (L. africana and L. cyclotis respectively). Elephants are scattered throughout sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Elephantidae is the only surviving family of the order Proboscidea; other, now extinct, members of the order include deinotheres, gomphotheres, mammoths, and mastodons. Male African elephants are the largest extant terrestrial animals and can reach a height of 4 m (13 ft) and weigh 7,000 kg (15,000 lb).ELE
  3. LION:The lion (Panthera leo) is one of the five big cats in the genus Panthera and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies found in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg (550 lb) in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger. Wild lions currently exist in sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia (where an endangered remnant population resides in Gir Forest National Park in India) while other types of lions have disappeared from North Africa and Southwest Asia in historic times. Until the late Pleistocene, about 10,000 years ago, the lion was the most widespread large land mammal after humans. They were found in most of Africa, across Eurasia from western Europe to India, and in the Americas from the Yukon to Peru. The lion is a vulnerable species, having seen a major population decline in its African range of 30–50% per two decades during the second half of the twentieth centurylion
  4. GIRAFEE:The giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) is an African even-toed ungulate mammal, the tallest living terrestrial animal and the largest ruminant. Its species name refers to its camel-like shape and its leopard-like colouring. Its chief distinguishing characteristics are its extremely long neck and legs, its horn-like ossicones, and its distinctive coat patterns. It is classified under the family Giraffidae, along with its closest extant relative, the okapi. The nine subspecies are distinguished by their coat patterns.girafee
  5. ZEBRA: are several species of African equids (horse family) united by their distinctive black and white striped coats. Their stripes come in different patterns, unique to each individual. They are generally social animals that live in small harems to large herds. Unlike their closest relatives, horses and donkeys, zebras have never been truly domesticated. There are three species of zebras: the plains zebra, the Grévy’s zebra and the mountain zebra. The plains zebra and the mountain zebra belong to the subgenus Hippotigris, but Grévy’s zebra is the sole species of subgenus Dolichohippus. The latter resembles an ass, to which it is closely related, while the former two are more horse-like. All three belong to the genus Equus, along with other living equids.zebra

DEER:Deer (singular and plural) are the ruminant mammals forming the family Cervidae. Species in the family include the white-tailed deer, mule deer (such as the black-tailed deer), elk, moose, red deer, reindeer (caribou), fallow deer, roe deer, pudú and chital. Male deer of all species (except the Chinese water deer) and female reindeer grow and shed new antlers each year. In this they differ from permanently horned animals, such as antelope, which are in the same order as deer and may bear a superficial resemblance to them.deer

Phone Arena also detailed that the Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to carry a 5.2-inch Quad-HD resolution screen, but there are also some who claim that it will be 5.5-inches. The processor will be clocked at 2.5GHz and will come along with 4 GB of RAM. The Square-Latest Invention by Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey, the co-inventor of Twitter, is promoting his latest invention called the Square.

The square is a small plug-in attachment to your mobile phone that allows you to receive credit card payments.

The idea originated from Dorsey’s friend Jim McKelvey who was unable to sell some glass work to a customer because he couldn’t accept a particular card being used.Accepting credit card payments for something you’re selling isn’t always easy, especially if you are mobile like a tradesman, delivery service or a vendor at a trade show.

This latest invention uses a small scanner that plugs into the audio input jack on a mobile device. It reads information on a credit card when it is swiped. The information is not stored on the device but is encrypted and sent over secure channels to banks. It basically makes any mobile phone a cash register for accepting card payments.

As a payer, you receive a receipt via email that can be instantly accessed securely online. You can also use a text message to authorize payment in real time.

Retailers can create a payer account for their customers which accelerates the payment process.

For example, a cardholder can assign a photo to their card so their photo will appear on the phone for visual identity confirmation. Mobile devices with touch screens will also allow you to sign for goods.

There are no contracts, monthly fees, or hidden costs to accept card payments using Square and it is expected the plug-in attachment will also be free of charge.

A penny from every transaction will also be given to a cause of your choice.

Square Inc. has offices in San Francisco, Saint Louis and New York and is currently beta testing the invention with retailers in the United States.

BlackBerry May Launch 2 Android Phones in 2016

BlackBerry CEO John Chen had previously indicated that the company may launch another Android smartphone in 2016 which will be targeted at the mid-range segment. Now, Chen at the ongoing CES 2016 event has revealed that BlackBerry may release not one but two phones – both running Google’s Android OS.

john chen

As before, Chen declined to share any details about the launch of new Android-based phones from BlackBerry. At CES, Chen also announced that BlackBerry Priv will now be available via T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon, and will no longer be AT&T exclusive in the US.

Last month, Chen had elaborated when asked about plans for another Android phone, “Depends on the Priv. If the Priv is well received in the market and looks like it is. There’s a good chance we will still focus on the high-end probably closer to mid-range coming out in 2016.”

Following on his previous comments, Chen told CNET, “so far, so good. I’m taking a cautiously optimistic view.” At the same event, BlackBerry’s Ron Louks on being asked (via CrackBerry) about Marshmallow update for the Priv smartphone said that the company will reveal news about update in the first quarter of 2016.

Apart from the phone business, Chen also talked about the Canadian company’s new QNX-based self-driving car software.

balckberry qnx

BlackBerry’s new platform for self-driving cars is said to make use of features such as collecting and interpreting data from outside and feed it in the car’s driver assistance system. The company is looking to build a core for self-driving cars on top of which various car makers can build features. One of the concepts reported is building a reference system for “building multi-camera car vision systems.”
To recall, BlackBerry apart from mobile business has been into various segments including in-car technology.
At CES 2016, BlackBerry announced that Ford will be porting its SmartDeviceLink (SDL) technology for the QNX CAR Platform for Infotainment. BlackBerry’s subsidiary QNX also showed off some concept cars at the event.

This article is about the umbrella term yoga which includes religion,  philosophy, and practices. For one of the six Hindu philosophy schools,  see Yoga (philosophy). For the popular yoga that explains and emphasizes  the physical practices or disciplines, see Hatha yoga. For other uses, see  Yoga (disambiguation).

Yoga : Sanskrit, Listen is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice or  discipline which originated in India. There is a broad variety of schools,  practices, and goal in Hinduism, Buddhism particularly Vajrayan  Buddhism, and Jainism. The most well-known types of yoga are Hatha yoga and Rāja yoga.

The origins of yoga have been speculated to date back to pre-Vedic Indian traditions, is mentioned in the Rigveda, but most likely developed around the sixth and fifth centuries BCE, in ancient India’s ascetic and śramaṇa movements.

The chronology of earliest texts describing yoga-practices is unclear, varyingly credited to Hindu Upanishads and Buddhist Pāli Canon, probably of third century BCE or later. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali date from the first half of the 1st millennium CE, but only gained prominence in the West in the 20th century. Hatha yoga texts emerged around the 11th century with origins tantra.

Yoga gurus from India later introduced yoga to the west, following the success of Swami Vivekananda in the late 19th and early 20th century. In the 1980s, yoga became popular as a system of physical exercise across the Western world. Yoga in Indian traditions, however, is more than physical exercise, it has a meditative and spiritual core. One of the six major orthodox schools of Hinduism is also called Yoga, which has its own epistemology and metaphysics, and is closely related to Hindu Samkhya philosophy.

In Vedic Sanskrit, yoga  means “to add”, “to join”, “to unite”, or “to attach” in its most common literal sense. By figurative extension from the yoking or harnessing of oxen or horses, the word took on broader meanings such as “employment, use, application, performance” (compare the figurative uses of “to harness” as in “to put something to some use”). All further developments of the sense of this word are post-Vedic. More prosaic moods such as “exertion”, “endeavour”, “zeal”, and “diligence” are also found in Indian epic poetry.

According to Pāṇini, a 6th-century BCE Sanskrit grammarian, the term yoga can be derived from either of two roots, yujir yoga (to yoke) or yuj samādhau (to concentrate). In the context of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the root yuj samādhau (to concentrate) is considered by traditional commentators as the correct etymology. In accordance with Pāṇini, Vyasa who wrote the first commentary on the Yoga Sutras, states that yoga means samādhi (concentration).
